Here at Magnolia & Willows we love to use silicone molds to add embeds to our candles.
There is something very “in the moment” about having a unique shape on top of a candle and watching it melt. To see beauty, then consume it can make a person feel powerful and worthy. Worth of watching magnificence and owning the moment.
Forgive me for rambling on, we are here to review a few styles of Succulent silicone molds. Please note, many of these molds can be used for food or soap as well, but do not use a mold for food that has previously made a candle.
One more thing,

Cactus Molds are plentiful on sites like Amazon and with good reason. The Cactus & Succulent candles are so cute! Just look at these guys
There are tons of cactus shaped molds online. We have experienced some issues starting out with these molds.
Cactus sets available online do not conform to size. It is hard to make a landscape from just one set purchased online. Seems like they all have small cactus’ and large succulents. It can appear mismatched.
We found the most success by combining 2 sets of molds. Specifically these.
All of the 4 piece mold set from Barafat creates usable wax melts, but 3 of the molds from Funshowcase will not come out of mold in one piece.
That being said we are glad for both mold sets and we use them daily.
We do avoid pouring these though…
Wax molds need a soy/beeswax blend to harden correctly.
Koi fish mold review
I love this mold of a Koi Fish. The detail is amazing. Each scale is visible on the fish and eyes, fins are all there.
It is not an easy candle pour, even with a 50/50 beeswax blend. It tends to crack at the tail.
I bet it would be perfect for resin work though. I could see this as a cute keychain.
We continue to add molds to our collection to provide the finest pop art candles available. Subscribe to our mailing list at www.Magnoliawillows.com to stay up to date with this blog post.
